Kelvin Gartly
CCPA Certified Counsellor — Abbotsford & Fort Langley, BC
Guidance for your mental well-being.
Kelvin is a certified counsellor with the CCPA and sees clients in person in both Abbotsford and Fort Langley, BC. He brings a calm, compassionate presence to his work, offering clarity around the challenges people are facing and supporting them in moving forward with greater courage and connection.
Clients often describe Kelvin as an attentive, non-judgmental listener who works hard to ensure they feel genuinely seen and understood. He is dedicated to helping clients feel less overwhelmed and more grounded, and takes a collaborative approach that honours each person’s unique goals for therapy.
In Kelvin’s own wordsI approach therapy as a collaborative conversation grounded in curiosity, honesty, and respect for your own inner wisdom. In our work together, we may explore the stories you hold about yourself, where those stories come from, and whether they still fit. I believe therapy is not about “fixing” you, but about helping you better understand yourself, reconnect with what matters to you, and move through life with greater clarity, confidence, and intention. I strive to offer a warm, thoughtful, and down-to-earth space where clients of all ages can feel safe enough to show up as they are.
I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, burnout, and seasons of feeling lost, stuck, or disconnected from themselves. Whether you are moving through a specific struggle or simply sensing that something in your life feels off, therapy can offer a space to slow down, make sense of your experience, and begin moving toward a more grounded and meaningful life.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in people leadership and administration, where I developed a strong appreciation for collaboration, communication, and navigating complex systems. I also bring lived experience from a long-term marriage and raising three daughters into adulthood, which has given me a deep respect for the challenges and rewards of family life and personal growth over time. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, DIY projects, and restoring my ’79 Honda motorcycle, which keeps me grounded and connected to life beyond the therapy room.
